Job description

We are seeking an experienced Aviation Engineer to join our organisation in London, United Kingdom. This is a permanent position offering the opportunity to contribute to the design, development, and optimisation of cutting-edge aviation systems and components. The successful candidate will work within a dynamic engineering team, applying technical expertise to ensure the highest standards of safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance within the aerospace industry.

  • Design, develop, and analyse aircraft systems and components using advanced CAD and simulation software * Conduct detailed technical assessments and aerodynamic modelling to optimise performance and efficiency * Ensure all designs and modifications comply with relevant aviation regulations, including EASA and CAA standards * Perform comprehensive testing, validation, and verification of engineering solutions * Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality assurance, and project management to deliver integrated solutions
  • Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, specifications, and engineering reports * Identify, investigate, and resolve technical issues and engineering challenges in a systematic manner * Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process optimisation within the engineering department * Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations to stakeholders

Requirements

Required Skills and Experience: * Proficiency in CAD software such as CATIA, ANSYS, or equivalent platforms * Strong knowledge of aerodynamics, aircraft systems, and systems engineering principles * Minimum 3 years' professional experience in aviation or aerospace engineering * Demonstrated experience with aircraft design, development, or certification projects * Thorough understanding of aviation regulations and compliance requirements (EASA/CAA) * Excellent technical documentation and report writing abilities

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with meticulous attention to detail

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with MATLAB, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), or advanced simulation tools
  • Project management experience within engineering environments
  • Knowledge of materials science and structural analysis
  • Familiarity with quality assurance and safety management systems
  • Relevant professional certifications in aerospace engineering or related disciplines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective team collaboration
