Job description

The Information Technology Specialist provides Tier I technical support and assists in maintaining and securing the organization's technological environment to ensure efficient and reliable daily operations. This role monitors, assesses, and troubleshoots computer systems, networks, devices, software, and data connectivity, including WAN/LAN infrastructure and communication systems. The IT Specialist installs, updates, logs, and upgrades systems, responds to technical issues as they arise, and leads or supports IT-related projects, changes, and improvements. The position plays a key role in maintaining system security, supporting disaster recovery objectives, and safeguarding the organization's data and critical information. Additionally, the IT Specialist provides technical support and training to employees, works with vendors and service providers, manages related contracts as needed, and ensures compliance with applicable regulatory, state, and federal requirements to ensure employees have the technology and support necessary to perform their work effectively., * Provide customer support, resolve basic technical issue tickets and assist with complex tickets.

  • Assist with diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues related to Microsoft operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other Microsoft applications.
  • Assist with installing, configure, maintain and troubleshoot PC's, Servers, and all other computer related systems, devices, and equipment.
  • Analyze, run diagnostic testing, and follow up to resolve reported issues.
  • Educate end-users on basic IT best practices and provide training on using Microsoft applications effectively.
  • Monitor security certificates and company compliance with requirements.
  • Provide first-level Helpdesk IT support to bank employees via phone, email, or in person.
  • Provide training and equipment setup support at all Falcon National Bank locations as needed.
  • Support and document changes to user accounts in all systems.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of support requests, troubleshooting steps and solutions in the ticketing system.
  • Assist in identifying network problems or application issues and escalate to appropriate resources in a timely, professional manner.
  • Assist in development of internal documentation of procedures and back up core processing system and network data files.
  • Assist in data analysis and reporting as needed.
  • Perform routine system monitoring and maintenance tasks, such as system updates, antivirus scans, and data backups.
  • Track and maintain IT inventory.
  • Escalate complex issues as needed.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Time management?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Entry level technical support role, providing support for Microsoft operating systems and applications required.

  • 2- or 4-year degree in Information Technology or related field, or combination or work-related experience and education.
  • Banking or financial institution IT experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office 365 Suite of products.
  • Working knowledge of cloud-based environments (Azure Active Directory, Teams, and Microsoft Endpoint Manager), preferred.
  • Working knowledge of relevant operating systems, software, and programming.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Solid organization, time management, prioritization and attention to detail.
