Job description
- Lead end-to-end architecture, design, and implementation of complex ServiceNow solutions
- Serve as the technical lead, evaluating deep architectural fit, integration complexity, and whether "out-of-the-box" (OOTB) functionality meets requirements
- Identify "must-have" vs. "nice-to-have" features across core workflows (e.g., Incident, Change, Asset Management)
- Act as the liaison with government technical leaders, program leadership and other stakeholders to identify, evaluate and integrate with enterprise service offerings
- Develop and implement standards for the acquisition, use and maintenance of technology
- Deliver products in coordination with the agile project delivery teams and participate in briefings with program and government personnel as required
- Establish and enforce development standards, code reviews, and architectural principles to minimize technical debt and ensure upgrade-readiness
- Focus on long-term scalability and strategic roadmap alignment
- Compare the current state against the desired future state, assessing alternative requirements, determining whether excessive custom coding or third-party plugins to match ServiceNow's breadth
- Architect integrations with third-party technologies and act as a subject matter expert (SME) on platform capabilities
- Lead in the creation of architectural blueprints and technical designs that leverage out-of-the-box ServiceNow capabilities while managing necessary customization
Requirements
Required:
- Minimum 10 years' experience and demonstrated knowledge of developing and directing the design, architecture and implementation of data services that include COTS products, security identity and access management services
- Minimum 8 years' experience developing System Architecture, Software Architecture and Enterprise Architecture diagrams and associated technical specifications
- Thorough experience with ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
- Detailed experience with ServiceNow Common Service Data Model (CSDM)
- Extensive experience designing/implementing ServiceNow solutions (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM)
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow integrations, APIs, and data modeling
- Experience working within an agile sprint development team environment using ServiceNow platform
- Experience establishing enterprise service offerings
- Ability to creatively collaborate with other program personnel to ensure a unified and well-executed goal
- Composure and ability to lead with confidence and calmness when faced with competing high-priority projects and difficult decisions and when delivering solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills using MS Word and other tools
- Excellent presentation development and delivery skills using MS PowerPoint
- TS/SCI with Poly
- BA/BS Degree

- ITIL 4 Foundation Certification
- Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or the Certified Master Architect (CMA))
- TOGAF Certifications
- Working knowledge of DoD Architecture V 2.0 Frameworks
- AWS Certified Solution Architect certification

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$131,800 - $290,000
