Job description

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Azure Lead Practice Architect to lead the design, implementation, and evolution of our cloud platform powering our enterprise-scale SaaS health software products. In this role, you will provide architectural leadership, platform strategy guidance, and technical mentorship across the Platform Engineering team. You will shape how our cloud-native infrastructure is built and operated, ensuring it is secure, scalable, compliant, and highly reliable for the healthcare industry in a cost-effective manner.

As a senior technical leader, you will partner closely with product engineering, security, compliance, DevOps, and operations teams to define best practices, engineer reusable platform components, and guide the adoption of Azure services and modern platform engineering principles.

Requirements

· 10+ years of experience in cloud architecture, platform engineering, or infrastructure engineering.

· 6+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure in enterprise environments.

· Proven experience designing and operating large-scale SaaS platforms.

· Strong proficiency in:

o Azure Networking (VNETs, ExpressRoute, Private Link, Firewalls)

o Azure Compute (AKS, VM Scale Sets, Functions, App Services)

o Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)

o CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, etc.)

o Observability tools

· In-depth knowledge of cloud security, identity, and compliance frameworks-especially in healthcare.

· Experience with Kubernetes, container platforms, and cloud-native tooling.

Strong understanding of platform engineering concepts · Azure certifications such as, · Experience working in regulated industries (healthcare, financial services, government).

· Knowledge of Global Regulatory requirements including ISO27001

· Experience with distributed systems design and microservices architecture.

Strong communication, leadership, and strategic planning skills.

Benefits & conditions

$10-15/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
