Job description
· Support development of annual and multi-year fundraising plans aligned to OSI's strategic goals.
· Maintain a grants calendar and development activity roadmap to ensure timely execution and follow-up.
Grant Development
· Research and identify grant opportunities aligned with OSI's mission and programs.
· Prepare and submit grant proposals, applications, letters of inquiry, and post-award reports in collaboration with Executive Director and senior management.
· Ensure compliance with funder requirements and internal controls for awards and reporting.
Donor Relations & Stewardship
· Support cultivation and stewardship of individual, corporate, and foundation donors or sponsors; prepare acknowledgments and impact communications.
· Maintain accurate donor records and touchpoint tracking in Client Relations Management (CRM).
Campaigns & Events
· Assist in planning and executing fundraising campaigns and special events; assist key staff to coordinate logistics, timelines, and volunteer support.
· Work with key staff to develop collateral and post-event follow-up processes with measurable outcomes.
Data, Analytics & Reporting
· Collaborate with Executive Director and finance team to collect outcomes, budgets, and narratives for funding requests and reports.
· Prepare regular development dashboards and metrics for leadership and the Board of Directors.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
· Work closely with the Executive Director and senior management to align funding strategies with service delivery needs and client outcomes.
· Represent OSI professionally with funders and community partners, coordinate site visits and briefings.
Systems & Operations
· Maintain accurate contact lists and grant files.
· Track deadlines, submissions, and renewals; ensure shared drives and calendars are current.
Professional Development & Role Growth
· Pursue relevant training and certifications (e.g., grant writing, fundraising, Client Relations Management (CRM)) as approved by the Executive Director and share learnings with the team.
· Demonstrate results, process improvements, and relationship-building to be considered for expanded responsibilities, including supervising staff or transitioning into a Development Director role.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Research?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, · Strong writing and storytelling skills.
· Ability to synthesize data and program outcomes into compelling cases for support.
· Excellent organization, project management, and communication skills.
· Ability to adapt to communication style and strategies to meet needs of diverse audiences.
· Collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and donor/CRM systems.
· Willingness to work flexible hours to meet organizational needs, including evenings or weekends for attendance and participation in outreach or fundraising events.
· Must be able to pass criminal background and driving record checks., · Bachelor's degree preferred with 2-4 years of nonprofit development, fundraising, grant writing, or related experience
· Candidates with 3-5+ years and demonstrated leadership may be considered for accelerated role growth.
· Experience in collaborating with leadership and finance teams is required.
