Job description
Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. seeks a Vice President, Lead Software Engineer in New York, NY to building P&L automation applications for various asset classes like Equity, Debt, M&A and other advisory products to improve efficiency and manage proper data lineage. The applications are time critical and proper error handling or exception situations need to be accounted for and report/raise notifications. Guide developers on building innovative solutions while developing quality applications delivered timely. Work using Agile methodologies and collaborate with global teams of product managers, developers, and QA. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.
Requirements
Do you have experience in XML?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Requires a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. The employer will accept a 3 or 4 year Bachelor's degree.

Requires five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years as a Senior Manager, Project Manager, Senior Software Developer, or a related occupation

Requires five (5) years of experience with the following skills:

Spring Containers (with Spring Boot) for enterprise applications;

- REST Services
- developing REST APIs using Spring Boot (reactive)
- Open API
- backend web development technology including:
- APIs
- asynchronous messaging
- cloud computing.
- Python/Shell scripting
Benefits & conditions
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $200,000 and $210,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
