Job description

We are seeking a hands-on ERP & Business Systems Analyst to support, enhance, and improve business systems within a manufacturing environment. This role serves as the internal owner and coordinator for ERP-related processes, reporting, system improvements, and cross-functional workflow support.

This position is not a traditional IT-only role. The ideal candidate understands how systems support real-world manufacturing operations and can help bridge the gap between departments, processes, reporting, and technology.

This role will play a key part in supporting ERP modernization efforts, improving operational visibility, reducing manual processes, coordinating system integrations, and helping standardize workflows across the organization.

Success in this role includes improving data accuracy, increasing operational visibility, reducing duplicate data entry, improving reporting capabilities, and helping departments operate more efficiently through better systems and processes.

Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesERP Ownership & Support

  • Serve as the primary internal resource for ERP-related support and coordination
  • Support daily ERP functionality, troubleshooting, and user assistance
  • Coordinate ERP improvements, enhancements, and issue resolution with vendors and support partners
  • Support future ERP initiatives including cloud migration and system modernization efforts
  • Maintain ERP user access, permissions, and data integrity practices

Process Improvement & Workflow Optimization

  • Identify opportunities to improve operational workflows and reduce manual processes
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Sales, Shipping, Accounting, and Leadership to improve system usage and operational efficiency
  • Help standardize workflows and improve consistency across departments
  • Assist in evaluating and improving current business processes supported by ERP systems

Reporting, Dashboards & Operational Visibility

  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and operational visibility tools using ERP systems, Excel, Power BI, SQL, or similar platforms
  • Improve visibility into order flow, production status, shipping status, and operational KPIs
  • Support the transition away from legacy reporting tools and manual spreadsheet-based reporting
  • Assist leadership with reporting and data analysis needs

Systems Integration Coordination

  • Coordinate integration projects between ERP and external business systems including Salesforce, Shopify, shipping systems, TMS platforms, and other operational software
  • Work with vendors, consultants, and internal stakeholders during integration planning, testing, implementation, and support
  • Assist with identifying opportunities for automation and improved data flow between systems

Documentation & Training

  • Create and maintain ERP-related SOPs, workflows, and system documentation
  • Develop user reference guides and process documentation
  • Train users on ERP processes, reporting tools, and best practices
  • Support change management and user adoption during system improvements and transitions

Project Coordination & Continuous Improvement

  • Track ERP-related projects, improvement requests, and system initiatives
  • Help prioritize projects based on operational impact and business needs
  • Communicate project status updates and follow-through clearly to leadership and departments
  • Support long-term business systems improvement initiatives, * Reducing manual processes and duplicate data entry
  • Improving operational reporting visibility
  • Supporting successful ERP modernization efforts
  • Increasing ERP adoption and process consistency across departments
  • Helping departments operate more efficiently through improved systems and workflows
  • Supporting scalable operational growth across the organization

Pay: From $100,000.00 per year

Requirements

Do you have experience in Workflow management (operations management method)?, * 3-7 years of experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing or operations environment

  • Experience supporting business processes, reporting, and workflow improvements
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Experience working cross-functionally with multiple departments
  • Strong Excel and reporting skills
  • Ability to learn systems quickly and adapt to changing business needs
  • Strong communication and follow-through skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with manufacturing ERP systems such as Aptean, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Dynamics 365, or similar
  • Experience with dashboards, reporting tools, or Power BI
  • Basic SQL knowledge
  • Experience supporting system integrations or ERP implementation projects
  • Experience with process documentation and SOP creation
  • Experience supporting cloud migration or system modernization projects
