An exciting opportunity is available through PDS Tech Commercial to support advanced aerospace programs with a globally recognized industry leader. As a Configuration Management Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development, and production of sophisticated aircraft, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and engineering excellence across every stage of the lifecycle.
What You'll Do (Day-to-Day Responsibilities)
- Contribute to the planning, development, and coordination of key engineering projects
- Provide specialized technical guidance to engineering team members
- Assist with executive cabin interior engineering design and configuration
- Support floorplan studies, feasibility assessments, and certification strategies
- Translate engineering design data into accurate aircraft build lists
- Serve as a liaison across cross-functional teams, including design engineering, certification, sales, and operations
- Support and review Certification Plans for Major Design Change (MDC) projects
- Ensure compliance with Part 25 and Part 135 certification requirements, including EWIS
- Utilize advanced engineering techniques to solve complex problems and develop effective solutions
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and product quality
- Maintain current knowledge of industry advancements to recommend innovative improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5 years of experience in a specific technical discipline, or 10 years of broad engineering experience across multiple disciplines with a Bachelor's Degree
- Ability to apply advanced engineering techniques to solve complex problems
- Proven ability to work with limited supervision while meeting schedule and cost objectives
- Strong communication skills and experience working as a cross-functional liaison
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in an engineering-related field
- Experience with CATIA V5, SmarTeam, or Teamcenter
- Background in aircraft interiors, configuration management, or certification processes
- Familiarity with aerospace product development, particularly within business aviation environments

Pay Details: $56.09 per hour
