Job description
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to support enterprise-level cloud initiatives, application modernization efforts, and cloud infrastructure operations. The selected consultant will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable cloud solutions across Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments.
This role requires a strong engineering background with direct hands-on experience delivering cloud-native solutions, migration projects, infrastructure automation, and DevOps practices. Candidates should be able to demonstrate individual ownership and technical contribution on prior cloud initiatives.
The position also involves supporting modern AI-enabled capabilities, including large language model integrations, prompt design, intelligent search, document summarization, and conversational AI solutions.

Approximately 60% remote / 40% onsite

Candidate must be willing to work onsite as required

Initial onsite attendance will be required for equipment issuance, onboarding, security processing, and related activities

Standard business hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with a one-hour lunch break
Candidates located outside the local area are welcome to apply but must be willing to relocate or commute to meet onsite requirements.
Employment commencement is contingent upon successful completion of all required background and security clearance procedures.
Responsibilities

Design and implement cloud-based applications, services, APIs, and supporting infrastructure.

Develop and maintain cloud-native solutions utilizing technologies such as .NET, .NET Core, C#, Python, containers, and related development frameworks.

Build and support secure, scalable, highly available architectures within Azure and AWS environments.

Participate in cloud migration initiatives, workload modernization projects, and enterprise integration efforts.

Configure and manage cloud networking, compute, storage, and security services.

Support containerized workloads using platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes.
-
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation processes.

Collaborate with technical and business teams on solution architecture, engineering analysis, and implementation planning.

Apply software development lifecycle (SDLC) best practices throughout project delivery.

Support AI-enabled solutions including:

Prompt engineering

Intelligent assistants

Semantic search
-
Document summarization
-
Knowledge retrieval solutions
-
Evaluate performance, cost optimization, security controls, governance, and compliance considerations associated with cloud-hosted AI workloads.

Required Qualifications

Minimum seven (7) years of relevant cloud engineering experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent technical experience

Five (5) years of Microsoft Azure experience including networking, storage, and application services
-
Five (5) years of Amazon Web Services experience including compute, storage, and networking solutions
-
Four (4) years of experience building or integrating cloud-native applications
Preferred Qualifications
-
Four (4) years of experience with .NET, .NET Core, and C#
-
Four (4) years of Python development experience
-
Three (3) years working with DevOps and CI/CD platforms
-
One (1) year of experience integrating AI models and developing prompt-based solutions
-
One (1) year of experience building AI-powered applications such as chatbots, summarization tools, or semantic search solutions

AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification
-
Azure Fundamentals or Azure Solution Architect certification
Candidate Requirements
Applicants must be willing to:

Complete all required background investigations, including fingerprinting where applicable

Work within a hybrid operating model and attend onsite activities as required
