Job description
Lucky Rabbit is seeking a skilled Ruby on Rails Developer to support the Login.gov program in a federal environment. This role is ideal for a developer who enjoys building secure, scalable applications that support critical identity and access management functions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop backend services, support authentication workflows, and help deliver reliable, compliant solutions that serve a high-impact public mission., * Design, develop, enhance, and maintain applications using Ruby on Rails
- Build, integrate, and support secure APIs and backend services
- Support SAML-based authentication and identity management workflows
- Deploy, manage, and optimize applications in AWS environments
- Use GitHub and GitHub Actions to support version control and CI/CD processes
- Implement PII validation, address verification, and other data integrity controls
- Support document capture and structured data processing workflows
- Troubleshoot application issues and contribute to system reliability and performance improvements
- Partner with product, security, and stakeholder teams to deliver secure, compliant technical solutions
- Document technical processes, system updates, and development decisions clearly and accurately
Requirements
Do you have experience in Version control systems?, * US Citizenship REQUIRED
- Proven professional experience developing applications with Ruby on Rails
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
- Strong experience with API development, backend integration, and system interoperability
- Experience using GitHub and CI/CD pipelines in a collaborative development environment
- Familiarity with SAML, identity management, or authentication systems
- Strong understanding of secure development practices and data validation requirements
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment, * Experience supporting federal government systems, ideally including Login.gov or similar identity platforms
- Familiarity with Python for future-state development efforts
- Experience working in compliance-driven environments involving PII, security controls, and data protection requirements
- Knowledge of structured data processing and document capture solutions

- Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong written communication skills for technical documentation, reporting, and status updates

Benefits & conditions
$105,000 - $130,000 a year - Full-time
