Job description
As an Engineering Support Specialist II here at Honeywell, you will provide essential technical support and coordination to engineering teams, ensuring smooth project execution and timely resolution of engineering issues. You will play a key role in facilitating communication between engineering, manufacturing, and quality departments to support product development and continuous improvement initiatives.
You will report directly to our management team and you'll work out of our South Bend, IN location on an on-site work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of engineering operations by delivering critical support services that enhance collaboration, problem-solving, and project delivery within Honeywell's aerospace engineering teams.

Execute engineering test plans, coordinating with necessary stakeholders and other support functions to achieve project objectives.

Assist in the preparation and maintenance of engineering documentation, reports, and presentations to support the decision-making processes.

Operate and oversee the maintenance of engineering equipment.
Requirements

Experience supporting engineering teams in a manufacturing or aerospace environment, with a strong focus on technical coordination and project support.

Knowledge of engineering documentation practices, data analysis, and project management principles.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with engineering software tools such as CAD viewers or PLM systems.

Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications to support effective communication and issue resolution.

Ability to stack and load parts up to 35 lbs to set up tests and organize engineering material

Strong electrical and/or mechanical background to be able to drive and coordinate equipment maintenance.

Experience using machine tools such as lathes, mills, etc. for sample preparation.
