Immediate need for a talented Network Administrator (Windows Server, Infrastructure Monitoring & Capacity Planning). This is a 06+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Portland, OR (Onsite). - Partner with Application Developers to ensure new applications meet enterprise performance standards.
- Design and monitor application performance tests.
- Analyze performance metrics and identify optimization opportunities.
- Recommend application improvements, hardware resource requirements, and capacity planning strategies.
- Assist with infrastructure forecasting and long-term capacity planning initiatives.
- Server Performance Monitoring
- Monitor Windows server environments for performance, stability, and capacity utilization.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and infrastructure risks.
- Develop performance thresholds and automated alerting processes.
- Support enterprise monitoring and reporting initiatives.
- Network & Infrastructure Support
- Support enterprise LAN, WAN, Wireless, and Voice/Data network environments.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity and infrastructure-related issues.
- Assist with installation, maintenance, and support of:
- Routers
- Switches
- Wireless Access Points
- Servers
- Backup Systems
- Network Monitoring Tools
- Support infrastructure upgrades, patching, maintenance, and operational activities.
- Telephony & End User Support
- Provide Level 1 support for network and telephony-related incidents.
- Support enterprise voice communication systems and devices.
- Assist with phone installations, configurations, and troubleshooting.
- Resolve hardware and software issues affecting connectivity and communications.
- Reporting & Analytics
- Create and maintain performance reports and infrastructure dashboards.
- Analyze server, application, and network utilization trends.
- Present findings, recommendations, and capacity projections to IT leadership and business stakeholders.
- Maintain documentation for infrastructure performance and operational metrics.
- Systems Maintenance & Asset Management
- Assist with service packs, hotfixes, security updates, and patch deployments.
- Support day-to-day infrastructure reliability and uptime.
- Maintain inventory records for IT and network equipment.
- Create and track Return Material Authorizations (RMAs).
- Support hardware lifecycle and asset management processes.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Wireless networking?, * 3-6 years of experience in Network Administration, Infrastructure Support, Systems Administration, or IT Operations.
- Experience supporting Windows Server environments.
- Strong understanding of server performance monitoring and capacity planning.
- Experience supporting LAN, WAN, and Wireless networking environments.
- Experience troubleshooting network, server, and telephony-related issues.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
