Job description
As a Configuration Technician, you will specialize in staging, programming, and troubleshooting software solutions. This role is crucial in bridging the gap between procurement and field deployment, ensuring that mobile devices, RFID systems, and point-of-sale (POS) hardware are ready for customer use. You will diagnose and resolve issues related to software deployment, network connectivity, and hardware., * Stage, program, and troubleshoot software solutions.
- Ensure mobile devices, RFID systems, and POS hardware are customer-ready.
- Diagnose and resolve software deployment, network connectivity, and hardware issues.
- Download and install software.
- Repair devices and follow work instructions.
- Perform hardware repair and soldering tasks.
- Configure point-of-sale equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Complete job reports and track hardware problems to communicate with procurement teams.
Requirements
- Proficiency in configuring and installing software.
- Experience in repairing and testing equipment.
- Ability to operate computers and mobile devices.
- Knowledge of Android and Apple iOS.
- Basic understanding of computer imaging and software deployment.
- Strong critical thinking and high attention to detail.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in operating computers and mobile devices.
Benefits & conditions
Work in a temperature-controlled, bench repair technician type setting. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with occasional half-day shifts.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, KY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
