Job description

Platform DevOps Engineer - TGS (Fully Remote) TEKsystems Global Services (TGS) is hiring a Platform DevOps Engineer to join a high-impact messaging team working on large-scale, Kafka-based platforms. This is a long-term consultancy role offering stability, ownership, and the opportunity to work in a modern, cloud-native environment. What you'll do Support the migration and consolidation of messaging workloads onto a unified Kafka platform Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Pulumi (TypeScript) and GitOps workflows Improve platform automation, reliability, and observability Troubleshoot distributed systems and messaging pipelines Work closely with internal engineering teams to support platform adoption

Requirements

Strong experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering Hands-on experience with Kafka (Confluent or Strimzi) and core messaging concepts Must have experience with Pulumi (or Terraform with willingness to transition) Familiarity with GitHub/GitOps workflows and distributed systems A collaborative, customer-oriented mindset Nice to have Kafka migrations, Kubernetes basics, Azure exposure, Strimzi, Kafka Connect, Prometheus/Grafana, and experience with Python or TypeScript.
