Job description
To lead and develop the IT Support function, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality support services and reliable operation of all managed IT systems and commercial off-the-shelf platforms., * Responsible for coaching and developing the team, managing performance, fostering a positive and high performing work culture
- Own the day-to-day operation of the IT Helpdesk, ensuring all incidents and requests are effectively triaged, prioritised and progressed in line with business impact
- Personally handle complex, high-impact issues and coordinate resources for swift resolution
- Maintain and support the network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, VLANs and ensuring reliability and security across the business
- Identify recurring issues, inefficiencies and drive practical improvements to reduce repeat incidents to enhance the overall user experience
- Support IT changes and projects through active involvement in transition to support, including documentation, knowledge transfer and early-life support
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar team leader role
- Strong hands-on experience of IT support environments, including Windows infrastructure, end-user computing, and cloud services such as Microsoft 365 and Azure
- Prioritise and manage competing demands to maintain control in a fast-paced, reactive environment
- Solid working knowledge of backup technologies, infrastructure monitoring and patching processes
