The team: The Software Engineering and Systems Integration team in the UK is actively working across Boeing Defence, Commercial Airplanes, Global services and Uncrewed technologies.

The Software Engineering team works in the development of Synthetic Environment Sub-systems, Mission Systems Capability, Autonomous Behaviours, enhancement of Ground Control Systems, Technical Publications and various in-house proprietary tools for the Defence platforms. The team is also contributing to Commercial Modification of aircrafts, development of Onboard Network Systems, Cabin Interiors and supporting Supplemental Type Certification effort.

About the role

You'll support Defence and Security domains at Boeing locations and Customer sites across the UK, including Autonomous Systems, Training and Simulation, Cyber, Space, Intelligence and Security.

You will join a rapidly growing Engineering Capability with a culture for development, collaboration and success. Initially you will be assigned to our Simulation Programmes, which operate across the Air, Land and Maritime domains, with future opportunity to develop your interests across the breadth of the Software Engineering portfolio.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills: Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, BitBucket etc)

• . Understanding of testing frameworks and unit testing practices
• . Experience working as a Software Simulation Engineer or a similar rol
• e Experience across Software Development Lifecycle and Software standards such as ISO9001
• . Understanding of the distributed interoperability simulation protocols used within defence collective training (e.g., DIS and HLA)
• . Understanding and experience of the COTS simulation and training environment development, execution, verification, validation and deployment
