Job description
Lockheed Martin Rotary Mission Systems in Moorestown, New Jersey is seeking a full time, UI/UX Engineer. In this role, you will play a critical part in designing and developing user-centered display solutions that meet the needs of our customers. Your knowledge in UI/UX engineering will help us create intuitive, safe, and effective display system that enhance the overall user experience to support our customer in their operational environment for the premier self-defense system for the United States and allied Navies, the Aegis Combat System. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge experience in user interface development, prototyping in Figma, and demonstrating and testing user interfaces via potential travel (~25% of the time) to collect customer feedback to incorporate into the iterative process.
Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Technology, Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering Human Machine Interaction (HMI), Human Factors Engineering (HFE), Human Systems Integration (HSI), or a related field

Minimum 2 years of experience in a related engineering role.

Graphical User Interface (GUI) design for optimal usability while considering back-end logic

Experience in design and analysis tools, such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and statistical analysis software (e.g. JMP, SPSS)

The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance Desired Skills:

Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Gitlab, Jira, Confluence)

Experience with programming languages, such as Python, JAVA, JavaScript, or C++

Experience with data analysis and visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI

Advanced degree or certificate in Human Factors Engineering, Human Systems Interaction, or related studies

Aegis Combat System experience - Familiar with User-Centered Design (UCD) process- Technical leadership and earned value management

Proficient in the use of SysML and use of modeling tools such as Rhapsody or Cameo

Iterative Prototyping and Storyboarding- Iterative Usability Testing- Focus Group Facilitation

Strong communications skills (written and verbal), strong team leadership, administrative and interpersonal skills desired.

Able to work independently or as a member of a team Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration., Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
