Job description

  • Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views.
  • Optimize existing queries and database structures for improved performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Perform data modeling, schema design, and documentation for new and existing projects.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Troubleshoot database-related issues, including performance bottlenecks and query optimization.
  • Support ETL processes and contribute to data integration initiatives.
  • Stay current with emerging database technologies and industry best practices.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Systems integration?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, Omega Technical Services is seeking a highly motivated SQL Developer to support ongoing operations in Greenville, SC. We are seeking a highly experienced SQL Developer with a minimum of eight (8) years of professional experience designing, developing, and optimizing complex database solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SQL programming, relational database design, and performance tuning, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams to deliver scalable and reliable data solutions., Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent, * Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.

  • Satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a drug and breath alcohol test, along with a Motor Vehicle Record check.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Security Clearance.
  • Skilled with building systems to system and systems to SQL integrations using the Microsoft technology stack: SSIS, .NET for custom API integrations, Azure Data Factory, etc.
  • Working knowledge of data modeling and architecture with Microsoft SQL or Dataverse.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possession of an active DOE/DoD clearance within the past two (2) years is preferred.

  • Previous DOE/NNSA work experience.

  • Minimum eight (8) years of professional experience as a SQL Developer or Database Developer.

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL.

  • Strong background in relational database management systems.

  • Proven expertise in query optimization and database performance tuning.

  • Experience with ETL processes, data warehousing, and reporting tools.

  • Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and best practices.

  • Familiarity with version control systems.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical details into business terms.

  • Experience with object-oriented programming including C# is preferred.
