Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Work with Scrum Masters to define and drive consistent practices across the Site.

Define the program dashboards to manage and report the status on project implementations.

Coaches, reviews, and delegates work to lower-level professionals.

Facilitate scrum activities and meetings (daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives) between the Scrum Team and Product Owner(s).

Lead one or more agile development efforts within the organization.

Document areas of improvement and action items coming out of the sprint retrospectives.
-
Work with Product Owner(s) to keep the backlog(s) groomed.

Maintain and report on relevant sprint metrics.
-
Administer and maintain the accuracy of the scrum board.
-
Ensure quality standards for all deliverables and promote continuous process improvement.

Act as a liaison between Development Teams and Product Management, ensuring that appropriate project process is made.

Identify and resolve obstacles that may hinder the team from meeting project milestones/deadlines.

May provide guidance, coaching, and training to other employees within job area.

Prepares for and facilitates release planning with teams.

Assists in dependency management and cross team coordination.
Agile Ceremony Facilitation

Facilitates continuous improvement and the development of a learning culture on teams.

Facilitates ceremonies, collaboration, communication, and conflict management.

Teaches new team members Agile mindset and frameworks, practices, and process.

Influences the organization in the removal of organizational impediments and development of healthy Agile practices.

Mentors Product Owners and team members in agile practices and continuous improvement.
Delivery Team Support

Removes impediments to the team's ability to perform.

Acts as a buffer between external distractions to minimize disruptions.

Assists in the coordination of operational issue resolution.

Facilitates team development, mediates conflicts protecting the team and encourages healthy team dynamics.

Fosters team responsibility, self-accountability, transparency and self-organization.

Leverages coaching skills to help the team learn to solve its own problems.

Introduces and encourages team to explore healthy Agile development practices, focus on quality and technical excellence, predictable delivery, automation, and continuous delivery.

Helps the team to develop, capture, and analyze metrics to facilitate team improvements.
Requirements
Maximus is currently seeking a Senior IT PM - Release Train has primary responsibility of facilitating the learning and growth of two or more Agile teams in developing a lean-Agile mindset, improving practices and guiding them to more predictable delivery. The RTE plays a role in facilitating Agile ceremonies and planning of releases, removing impediments, providing guidance, and supporting Agile teams., '- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 7+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job-Specific Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or related field or equivalent combination of industry related professional experience and education.

7+ years of working experience as a dedicated Scrum Master, RTE, or PM
-
Scrum Master certification or equivalent certified professional.
-
Working experience in one or more of the following Agile methods or frameworks: Scrum or Kanban.
-
Working experience with Agile scaling frameworks, preferably SAFe.
