  • Develop idempotent install automation (Ansible preferred) that supports install/upgrade/uninstall and rollback.
  • Integrate with internal artifact repositories and implement checksum/signature verification.
  • Implement secure secrets handling (Jenkins credentials / Vault), mutual TLS or token auth for repo access, and detailed audit logging.
  • Add automated smoke tests, health checks, and monitoring/alerts for install outcomes and configuration drift.
  • Document runbooks, rollback procedures, and pipeline design; provide knowledge transfer to ops teams.
  • Ensure solutions comply with enterprise change controls and security policies.

Requirements

  • 6+ years engineering experience with 4+ years in DevOps/SRE/automation roles (senior level).
  • Strong Linux administration (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) and package management (rpm/yum, dpkg/apt).
  • Hands-on experience with Ansible (preferred) or Chef/Puppet and with writing idempotent automation.
  • Proficient in Jenkins pipeline development (Jenkinsfile, shared libraries) and CI/CD concepts.
  • Experience with artifact stores (Artifactory/Nexus) and secure artifact retrieval practices.
  • Scripting: Python and Bash; familiarity with shell tooling and unit-testable scripts.
  • Experience with secrets management (HashiCorp Vault, cloud KMS) and secure credential usage in pipelines.
  • Good knowledge of networking, SSH, firewalls, and access controls; strong documentation skills.
  • Experience working in regulated/compliant environments is strongly preferred.

Preferred:

  • Direct experience integrating with internal enterprise repos or PMUL/Cybersphere-like platforms.
  • Familiarity with signing artifacts (GPG), checksum verification, and binary provenance.
  • Terraform or cloud IaC experience; container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes) a plus.
  • Experience with ServiceNow/ITSM integration and change-control workflows.
