- Provide technical direction and tasking to a team of multi-disciplinary engineers
- Interface with program and customer representatives on scope, schedule and funding
- Ensure technical integrity of delivered product and ensure alignment to department roadmap and vision
- Be responsible for technical, cost and schedule performance of an effort
- Lead software-engineering activities for simulation and training subsystems across the full product lifecycle, including the software architecture and design, software implementation, and software validation testing.
- Contribute to product line road maps and influence future technology directions.
- Mentor junior engineers and lead small development teams.
Requirements
You are an experienced Software-Engineer with a proven track record on defense-industry projects. You have advanced experience in C++ development and automated testing. You have excellent verbal and written communication; able to present technical information to senior internal and external stakeholders. You have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and capable of delivering innovative technical solutions. You are a technical leader who owns the technical scope, product, and schedule for your product. You build strong customer relationships., * Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering

Minimum of 10 years of professional engineering experience

Proven track record designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining complex software systems.

Advanced Experience using C/C++, Java, and/or Python

Experience with Linux/Unix Operating Environment

Advanced experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, static analysis, and configuration management (GitLab, Jenkins, Make/CMake)

Demonstrated project leadership skills, formal or informal

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to obtain & maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance at the SECRET level - U.S. Citizenship required Desired Skills:

Familiarity using Agile Management Suite and Agile Business Rhythm

Experience in developing team members through knowledge continuity and mentoring Experience with combat system architecture and design

Experience in Model Based Engineering and related tools.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week The base range for this position in New Jersey is $110,500 - $208,344.
