Job description

  • Provide technical direction and tasking to a team of multi-disciplinary engineers
  • Interface with program and customer representatives on scope, schedule and funding
  • Ensure technical integrity of delivered product and ensure alignment to department roadmap and vision
  • Be responsible for technical, cost and schedule performance of an effort
  • Lead software-engineering activities for simulation and training subsystems across the full product lifecycle, including the software architecture and design, software implementation, and software validation testing.
  • Contribute to product line road maps and influence future technology directions.
  • Mentor junior engineers and lead small development teams.

Requirements

You are an experienced Software-Engineer with a proven track record on defense-industry projects. You have advanced experience in C++ development and automated testing. You have excellent verbal and written communication; able to present technical information to senior internal and external stakeholders. You have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and capable of delivering innovative technical solutions. You are a technical leader who owns the technical scope, product, and schedule for your product. You build strong customer relationships., * Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering

  • Minimum of 10 years of professional engineering experience

  • Proven track record designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining complex software systems.

  • Advanced Experience using C/C++, Java, and/or Python

  • Experience with Linux/Unix Operating Environment

  • Advanced experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, static analysis, and configuration management (GitLab, Jenkins, Make/CMake)

  • Demonstrated project leadership skills, formal or informal

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to obtain & maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance at the SECRET level - U.S. Citizenship required Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity using Agile Management Suite and Agile Business Rhythm

  • Experience in developing team members through knowledge continuity and mentoring Experience with combat system architecture and design

  • Experience in Model Based Engineering and related tools.

  • Experience with system verification and integration testing Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration., Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week The base range for this position in New Jersey is $110,500 - $208,344.
