Job description

The Senior Vice President, Procurement & Enterprise Transformation is a key enterprise leader responsible for defining and executing Ulta Beauty's enterprise-wide procurement strategy, driving cost efficiency, supplier excellence, and long-term value creation. This role owns the company's indirect spend portfolio and leads strategic sourcing, supplier partnerships, and procurement operations to support margin expansion and operational performance. In addition, this leader oversees the enterprise transformation portfolio, ensuring key investments and initiatives are prioritized, governed, and executed in alignment with company strategy and financial commitments.

This role serves as a strategic partner to the CFO, CEO, Executive Leadership Team, and Board of Directors, influencing critical decisions related to cost structure, supplier strategy, and enterprise investments. The SVP will lead and develop a high-performing team and foster strong cross-functional alignment across Finance, Merchandising, Supply Chain, IT, and Strategy.

YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY:

  • Define and execute the enterprise procurement strategy to deliver cost optimization, supply resilience, and long-term value creation.
  • Lead strategic sourcing and category management across indirect spend, ensuring alignment with business priorities and financial targets.
  • Establish and govern supplier segmentation, performance management, and partnership strategies to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
  • Own enterprise-wide cost savings and value creation targets, leveraging data-driven insights, market intelligence, and total cost of ownership methodologies.
  • Lead complex, high-value supplier negotiations and contracting strategies to achieve optimal commercial outcomes.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key suppliers to drive collaboration, innovation, and long-term value.
  • Oversee vendor selection, contracting, and performance management processes to ensure quality, service, and cost effectiveness.
  • Drive supplier diversification and risk mitigation strategies to ensure continuity and resilience.
  • Ensure supplier compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical sourcing standards.
  • Lead the modernization of procurement capabilities, including implementation of digital tools, analytics, and automation to improve efficiency and visibility.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs and dashboards to track procurement performance, savings realization, and supplier outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes and operating effectiveness.
  • Oversee enterprise portfolio governance, including prioritization, funding alignment, and value realization of strategic initiatives.
  • Lead execution oversight of transformation programs, ensuring delivery against scope, timeline, cost, and business outcomes.
  • Establish enterprise standards, tools, and governance frameworks to enable consistent program execution.
  • Identify and manage cross-functional dependencies, risks, and resource alignment across initiatives.
  • Provide regular updates to executive leadership and the Board on transformation progress, financial impact, and risk posture.
  • Partner with Finance, Strategy, Supply Chain, IT, and business leaders to align procurement and transformation priorities with enterprise objectives.
  • Influence key stakeholders to drive disciplined investment decisions, cost management, and value realization., * Establish performance objectives and develop a high-performing procurement and transformation organization.
  • Coach and develop leaders, strengthening capabilities in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and program execution.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and results orientation.
  • Ensure effective communication of priorities, progress, and outcomes across all levels of the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
  • 18+ years of progressive leadership experience, including enterprise-level procurement responsibility
  • 10+ years leading large, cross-functional teams and senior leaders
  • Demonstrated success leading enterprise procurement functions, including sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable financial impact through procurement and cost transformation initiatives
  • Experience in a complex, multi-unit retail or consumer-facing organization preferred
  • Strong executive presence with experience presenting to C-suite and Board-level stakeholders
  • Deep expertise in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen, with ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Exceptional communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities

Benefits & conditions

The pay range for this position is $400,000.00 - $450,000.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company's bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
