As a Network Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the stability, reliability, and security of our network infrastructure. You will work on implementing and supporting technologies such as routing and switching and SD-WAN. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, share technical expertise, and contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives.
You will leverage your attention to detail and strong technical knowledge in areas such as network security, analytics, telemetry, and best practices to deliver a robust and secure network environment. Your responsibilities will include operational support and project delivery, ensuring seamless connectivity and performance across the organization.
The Network Services team focuses on enhancing security and efficiency through automation, policy optimization, and lifecycle management of networking products. If you are passionate about driving innovation and maintaining a reliable network infrastructure, this role is for you.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including routing, switching, and SD-WAN solutions.
- Configure and manage dynamic routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF for optimal network performance.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network performance issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams to support network-related projects and initiatives.
- Implement network security guidelines, including compliance with organizational standards and policies.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Participate in automation and process improvement initiatives to optimize network operations.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance for network-related incidents and problem resolution.
- Assist in lifecycle management of network hardware and software, including upgrades and patching.
- Support telemetry and analytics solutions for proactive monitoring and capacity planning., Enterprise Product & Platform Engineering transforms the way we deliver infrastructure to our business clients. A key construct of EP&PE will be the evolution of the IT Product Manager, who will partner with the Engineering organization, the Business Aligned Service Delivery organization, the DevSecOps organization as well as our operational support teams to ensure that this organization provides high quality, commercially attractive and timely solutions to support our business strategy.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
Talents Needed for Success:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3-4 years of experience in network engineering or administration.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP).
- Hands-on experience with Cisco or similar enterprise networking equipment.
- Familiarity with SD-WAN solutions.
- Understanding of network security principles and procedures.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues in a large-scale environment.
- Cisco Certification (CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent)
- Experience with network automation tools (Python, Ansible, Itential, etc.)
- Knowledge of telemetry and network analytics platforms (Solarwinds, NetBrain, NetScout, etc.)
