Kimball Electronics is not responsible for any fees related to unsolicited resumes., The IT System Administrator is a broadened role within Kimball Electronics Shared Services that reports to the System Administration Manager. This role is responsible for administration, management, and level II support of infrastructure systems globally. - Learn KEI Guiding Principles, philosophies, and cultural attributes
- Develop technical relationships with key IT contacts
- Introduction to Azure Cloud concepts (AZ-900).
- Build and maintain business relationships with Business Unit contacts
- Immediate introduction and jumpstart for storage and server admin team projects.
- Acclimate to KEI IT processes, monitoring, and systems
- Integrate into System Administrator off hours production support rotation
- Support business operations and initiatives as needed
- Gain familiarity with IT standards and security practices, maintaining and providing feedback for necessary changes
Mid to Long Term (6+ months):
- Support growth and discovery in public cloud infrastructure
- Additional Azure skill learning (AZ-104)
- Identify opportunities to improve or automate existing KEI processes and systems with a focus on our existing storage systems
- Lead projects for Storage and Computing Infrastructure team
- Expand existing documentation of processes
- Support M365 services and Azure infrastructure
- Identify industry trends that KEI could leverage
- Support and implement scripts, processes, and solutions with a goal of building a Continuous Improvement environment
Requirements
Do you have experience in IT department experience?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, To be successful, the candidate must possess a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, ability to handle multiple priorities and projects in order to effectively transform business needs into technical solutions. Applicants need to possess either a minimum of an associate's degree in IT related field or applicable training/certifications as well as 4+ years of IT work experience., Preferred candidates will have experience with a subset of the following:
- Azure public cloud infrastructure
- Data storage solutions, preferable HPE Nimble/Alletra
- Data protection solutions, preferable Commvault Simpana or Rubrik
- Windows Server Operating Systems, Active Directory and Group Policy
- Server management platforms including Cisco UCS and HPE
- VMware hypervisor
- Enterprise services including DNS, DHCP, RDS, and Exchange
- Office 365 services including Azure Entra ID
- Microsoft PowerShell
Benefits & conditions
The typical pay range for this role is: $70,000 - $90,000 the actual wages offered will vary based on multiple factors, including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.
