Job description

The DDG 51 Support team Leidos has an opening for a Jr. Systems Analyst to support PMS 400D and Superintendent of Shipbuilding Bh (SOSB) technical teams in shipboard verificion of completed changes., These responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Verify design and engineering changes implemented shipboard to ensure th the changes are accomplished
  • Interface with SSBA Quality department to illustre incomplete changes prior to Navy acceptance of the compartment
  • Evalue engineering and design changes for accuracy and hull/ship applicability
  • Reporting findings to PMS 400D and SOSB
  • Support SOSB in development of Trial Cards for incomplete or incorrect execution of change

Requirements

  • High School diploma and/or, 2 years of experience in ship design/building, configurion management, acquisition, operion, lifecycle sustainment
  • Basic understanding of ship design drawings
  • Strong written communicion, interpersonal, problem solving, analytical and organizional skills are all required skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • U.S Citizenship required and ability to obtain a US Secret Clearance
  • Able to walk ships during the construction period for 4-8 hours per day

Preferred Qualificions

  • Broad Knowledge of Ship Construction Process or Broad Knowledge of Trades
