Job description
Seeking a Junior Data Center Technician to support day-to-day operations in a high-scale cloud infrastructure environment (AWS-type DCs). The ideal candidate will have foundational knowledge of Linux, networking, server hardware, and cabling and be eager to grow in a data center environment., * Assist in rack & stack installations and decommissions
- Perform basic server hardware troubleshooting (break/fix)
- Support structured cabling (copper & fiber connections)
- Conduct Linux server checks (basic health monitoring, logs)
- Perform L1 network troubleshooting (connectivity, cables, ports)
- Work with ticketing systems (ServiceNow / Jira)
- Follow change management & SLA guidelines
- Coordinate with senior engineers, vendors, and onsite teams
Requirements
- Basic Linux commands (CLI)
- Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
- Hands-on or academic exposure to:
- Hardware troubleshooting
- Rack & stack
- Cabling (fiber or ethernet)
- Knowledge of ticketing systems
- Strong troubleshooting mindset
Nice to Have
- AWS / Cloud basics (EC2, S3)
- Certifications:
- CompTIA A+ / Network+
- AWS Cloud Practitioner
- Internship / project experience in:
- Data Center / NOC / IT Support
Soft Skills
- Willingness to work in shifts (24x7 DC environment)
- Good communication & teamwork
- Quick learner with strong work ethic
