Job description
You will represent Voith Hydro as a field service supervisor for hydropower plants. You will supervise installation activities on sites around the world while collaborating with international teams and interacting with clients to ensure optimal performance, product quality and customer satisfaction.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Technical supervision of generators installation works:
- Pre-erection of generator stator and rotor - stacking and winding
- Assist/Conduct specific electrical measurements
- Check and fill measurement protocols
- Guide and check subcontractor installation team for proper installation works according to technical specifications
- Coordinate with project engineering team regarding technical issues
- Ensure proper tools and devices are available on site at the right time
- Project management:
- Schedule tracking and capacity planning on the construction site, including taking (preventive) measures
- Coordination of construction site activities with regard to:
o
the assigned individual trade(s)
the subcontractor personnel deployed
the customer and its partner companies
- Checking the ongoing construction site for professional execution of the installation work
- Coordination of deliveries in cooperation with the project management team
- Supporting site team in solving problems and making necessary decisions
- Implementation of the contractual obligations for the installation in coordination with the site manager, the customer or consultant and other companies involved in the project
- Responsibility for working methods on the construction site that comply with the QA scheme, i.e. monitoring compliance with QA-relevant procedures

Reporting:
- Creating weekly reports
- Creating progress and/or status reports
- Creating deviation reports (change control)
- HSE status reports
- Documentation of construction site meetings

Commercial tasks:
- Go through site audits for the assigned project
- Construction site procurement of auxiliary materials within the limits defined for the order
- HSE&Q tasks (occupational safety, health, environment):
- Periodic instruction of assembly personnel in safety-related matters
- Periodic inspection of safety equipment
- Management of the personnel deployed on the construction site: work scheduling of own and external personnel (subcontractors):
- Professional execution
- Discipline on the construction site
- Recording of hours (traceability - comparison of hours written vs. hours worked) in relation to the assigned assembly personnel
Requirements
Do you have experience in Microsoft Office?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience in installation/manufacturing of generators or electrical motors.
- Strong knowledge of technical drawings.
- Ability to use computer software like MS-Office, CAD, Solid Wedge
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in international teams.
- Good proficiency in English is a must, in German is a good advantage
- Willingness to travel internationally.
