Job description

At Sunweb Group, we're building and evolving the core systems behind millions of holidays each year. As a Senior Software Engineer, you contribute directly to how our platform is designed, scaled, and improved.

You'll work in a small, autonomous Agile team where ownership, pragmatism, and quality go hand in hand. This role goes beyond coding - you influence architecture, improve engineering practices, and help the department grow., * Design and build scalable, cloud-native applications on Azure

  • Own technical decisions and contribute to architecture
  • Improve and modernize existing (legacy) systems
  • Drive engineering practices like CI/CD, testing, and clean architecture
  • Identify and reduce technical debt
  • Collaborate with product and stakeholders to deliver real impact
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to team growth
  • Help define team standards and technical direction

We actively leverage AI-powered tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve productivity and code quality., * Monthly gross salary between €6300 and €6700 plus 6 ATV days (based on full-time employment, excluding 8% holiday allowance). Please note: ATV days do not apply to part-time contracts.

The information provided above applies to a Dutch contract. Please note that different terms and conditions will apply in the case of a Spanish contract.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with C# and .NET
  • Experience building cloud-native applications on Azure
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and data modeling
  • Solid understanding of system design and clean architecture
  • Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps practices
  • Experience with legacy systems and modernization
  • Ability to balance speed and quality pragmatically
  • Ownership mindset and drive to improve systems and processes
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills
  • Experience mentoring others and influencing technical direction
