The Senior Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting scalable solutions on the enterprise digital experience platform. This role focuses on building and extending Adobe Experience Manager to deliver secure, high-performing, content-driven experiences across web and digital channels. This individual works closely with Digital Product Owners, UX/UI, Digital Marketing, and Engineering teams to deliver author-friendly, reusable AEM solutions that align with enterprise standards and business objectives., Design, develop, and maintain enterprise solutions on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Build and enhance AEM components, templates, dialogs, workflows, and content models Partner with Product Owners, architects, UX/UI, Marketing, QA, and engineering peers to translate functional and technical requirements into production-ready solutions Develop reusable and scalable AEM components using Sling Models, HTL (Sightly), and OSGi services Configure and extend AEM capabilities including Content Fragments, Experience Fragments, Workflows, Permissions, and Multi-Site Management (MSM) Integrate AEM with external systems and APIs (commerce platforms, analytics, personalization, DAM, and search tools) Collaborate with front-end and back-end teams to ensure seamless integration with presentation layers and downstream services Optimize authoring experiences through intuitive dialogs and strong content governance practices Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, accessibility, security, and quality standards Partner with QA to define test cases, validate functionality, and resolve defects Build and maintain automated unit and integration tests to support long-term maintainability Contribute to effort estimation, dependency identification, and delivery planning Troubleshoot issues across development, release, and post-launch support phases Participate in agile ceremonies, code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience
5+ years of professional software development experience, with strong hands-on AEM experience
Deep, hands-on experience developing and configuring Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for production-grade AEM development
Hands-on experience with Webpack for asset bundling and environment-specific builds
Experience with AEM Dispatcher, including cache configuration, invalidation strategies, and production troubleshooting
Proficiency with Sling Models, HTL (Sightly), OSGi, and JCR
Experience building custom AEM components, templates, dialogs, workflows, and services
Experience with AEM Sites and AEM Assets (DAM), including metadata, renditions, and asset workflows
Familiarity with AEM Cloud Service or managed AEM environments, including deployment and release processes
Experience integrating AEM with RESTful APIs and enterprise systems Understanding of headless and hybrid AEM delivery models (Content Fragments, JSON APIs)
Proficiency with Git and modern SDLC practices
Experience working in Agile delivery environments
Experience implementing automated testing strategies for Java and/or AEM applications
Strong troubleshooting skills across multiple environments
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams

Experience integrating Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), Adobe Target, or Adobe Analytics Experience supporting multi-brand or multi-site enterprise AEM implementations Adobe AEM certifications
