Job description

A leading robotics and autonomous systems team seeks a seasoned Release Manager to coordinate, manage, and deliver software releases for cutting-edge automation and autonomous delivery projects. The Release Manager acts as a central point overseeing releases that impact public road deployments, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams spanning AI, hardware, firmware, devops, and operations. This critical contract role is ideal for candidates who thrive in a technically integrated, fast-paced environment at the forefront of robotics innovation., * Manage simultaneous software releases for autonomous vehicles and related platforms, including public road deployments.

  • Coordinate release schedules, resources, and responsibilities across AI, software, firmware, hardware, devops, and operations teams.
  • Oversee documentation and project management in tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Ensure smooth, timely releases, identifying and mitigating risks or blockers.
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings to resolve integration and delivery challenges.
  • Interface with teams located in California and Arizona, ensuring seamless communication and alignment.
  • Support compliance and quality goals for releases and versioning.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience managing software releases for technical projects, ideally involving hardware, firmware, and software integration (e.g., robotics, autonomous vehicles).
  • Strong working knowledge of git for version control.
  • Proficient in project management tools, especially Jira and Confluence.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a closely related technical field.
  • Exceptional organizational, documentation, and cross-functional communication skills.
  • Ability to operate independently and proactively in a remote/partially hybrid role.
