Job description
Content Solutions Team, this position is responsible for OnBase Administrative functions, development of electronic smart-forms (with integration. workflow, and notifications), Workflow and Workview applications as well as configuration and set-up of document scanning solutions for the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. Work with department personnel to identify requirements including work flow, approval, notification and storage requirements for the design, modification and/or development of new electronic forms/scanning solutions that improve efficiency and accuracy for each applicable business process. Develop Java and/or C# applications to integrate eForms with DOC legacy data.
The OnBase Administrator/Developer shall comply with the Departments administrative rules and the agencys policies and procedures including those related to the Departments overall Reentry philosophy of using evidence-based strategies, practices and programs which target an offenders individual criminogenic needs and risk level.
% Time Goals and Worker Activities
A. Development, testing, implementation and maintenance of content solutions including: smart electronic forms, document imaging solutions, Workview applications, Advanced Workflow Administration, document composition, scripting, custom queries and other methods to meet the business needs in providing a reliable, robust enterprise document management platform.
A1. Develop and maintains new and existing OnBase applications of increasing complexity using OnBase modules, programming and scripting that satisfy a logical, efficient and optimal system design.
A2. Determine, in collaboration with the eforms team, the appropriate level of technology needed to meet the needs of the business and provide the solution in a timely manner.
A3 Develop electronic forms and smart-forms using CSS, HTML, jQuery, JavaScript and the approved DOC forms designer tools. Develop Java or C# applications, use OnBase APIs and consume REST web services /microservices to exchange data between eforms and DOC databases. Develop expertise in SQL, Oracle and familiar with .NET Framework.
A4. Develop detailed technical documentation for the OnBase team and helpdesk for each assigned project and/or release of new major functionality (full text search, bar code scanning, DocuSign 2-factor authentication, etc.,).
A5. Conduct team presentations and provide the documentation to cross-train others so that a minimum of three team members are able to support, modify and/or administer a particular function, solution, eform, custom query, business solution, Workview application, etc.
A6. Participate in team presentations to learn new components and functions being added to the OnBase platform. Develop an understanding to the level of proficiency to independently provide support during on-call rotation or in a critical down-time situation.
A7. Provide ballpark time estimates for proposed project request and provide detailed estimates and for assigned project timeline development. Strive to meet those estimates during project execution. Meet project deadlines for all active EARC projects and other assigned tasks.
B. Share OnBase Administrative responsibilities with other team Admins.
B1. Perform OnBase system admin configuration, maintenance, solution migrations and support tasks on the OnBase Servers in DEV, UAT and PROD according to the scheduled maintenance plan during the week of on-call duties or as needed in a critical situation.
