Job description
As a Software Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will serve as a UI Developer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining user interfaces that deliver exceptional user experiences. You will work extensively with Next.js, JavaScript, and CSS to build intuitive and responsive web applications. Additionally, you will apply your good knowledge of secondary skills such as Java, Spring, Hibernate, and SQL to support backend integration and data management.
You will report directly to our Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Henrico, Virginia location on a Hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the usability and performance of our software products by leveraging your strong expertise in front-end technologies and your solid understanding of backend frameworks and databases to deliver scalable and efficient solutions., * Develop and maintain user interfaces using Next.js, JavaScript, and CSS to create responsive and user-friendly web applications.

Collaborate with backend developers to integrate Java, Spring, Hibernate, and SQL components effectively.

Design and optimize SQL queries and database schemas to support application functionality.

Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable software solutions.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in UI development with Next.js, JavaScript, and CSS.
Good knowledge of Java, Spring, Hibernate, and SQL for backend integration.

Experience in building scalable and responsive web applications.

Familiarity with modern development tools and version control systems.

Knowledge of containerization and CI/CD pipelines.
