Job description
- Support production test activities by setting up and providing trainings for a wide variety of electrical test equipment, including in-circuit testers, flying probe testers, ICT, and functional test benches.
- Coordinate with customers and Engineering for test deployments and trainings
- Develop test equipment and test fixtures for testing highly complex electronic assemblies and systems
- Lead board failure troubleshooting activities. Investigate the cause of product failures and fix the defects.
- Write, review, evaluate and update test procedures.
- Conduct failure analysis, analyze test data, and make recommendations for test yield improvement. Create reports if required.
Requirements
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Test Engineer to join our growing team. Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent with 5 or more years of relevant experience. Experience in contract electronics manufacturing preferred.
- Knowledge of a wide variety of electronics test and analyzing equipment including oscilloscopes, analyzers, power supplies, meters and any other special electronics test equipment necessary for testing, analyzing and/or troubleshooting/repairing.
- Excellent electronics troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and understand circuit and wiring diagrams, technical specifications and electronics test procedures
- Strong PC hardware architecture troubleshooting skills
- Familiar with GenRad ICT testers, Takaya flying probe, and IC programmers.
- Knowledge of LabView, Test Expert, IEE448/GPIB, LAN, RS232, Linux and Python
- Ability to work on multiple projects in a highly demanding environment
- Good team work and effective oral and written communication skills needed.
