Job description

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an EAM ASSET MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS SUPERVISOR for a FULL TIME/DIRECT HIRE assignment with one of our premier UTILITY clients in SAN JOSE, CA. This role is hybrid 3x week (Tu/Wed/Thur) Role Overview This role leads the administration, enhancement, and day-to-day performance of enterprise systems that support asset lifecycle tracking and work management processes across a multi-site organization. Reporting to senior leadership within asset strategy or operations, the position oversees a team responsible for ensuring that enterprise asset platforms and related tools effectively support maintenance, repair, planning, and capital activities.

The Supervisor is accountable for system reliability, user enablement, data accuracy, and cross-functional alignment. This position works closely with operations, IT, and business teams to improve system adoption, optimize workflows, and leverage data insights to drive operational performance. The role also supports ongoing technology initiatives and fosters continuous improvement through effective use of analytics, integrations, and digital tools., * Promote a strong culture of safety, ensuring adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards across all system-related activities.

  • Lead a team responsible for supporting enterprise asset/work management platforms, including user access, system configuration, training, and documentation.
  • Partner with operational stakeholders and technical teams to enhance system functionality, usability, and alignment with business workflows.
  • Support upgrades, enhancements, and implementation activities related to asset management and maintenance systems.
  • Oversee data governance practices to improve data integrity, reporting accuracy, and visibility into asset and work performance.
  • Drive initiatives that strengthen system utilization and improve overall data quality across the organization.
  • Manage integrations between asset management systems and other enterprise applications.
  • Support mobile and field-based technology solutions that enable efficient work execution.
  • Develop reporting dashboards and analytics using business intelligence tools to support decision-making.
  • Coordinate multiple system-related initiatives to ensure alignment with business priorities and operational needs.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of asset management and maintenance workflows within an operational environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into practical business solutions.
  • Experience mapping business processes and configuring systems to support those processes.
  • Proficiency working with relational databases, including writing and optimizing SQL queries.
  • Experience with reporting platforms and data visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with integrating enterprise systems and managing data flows between applications.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data trends and present actionable insights.
  • Working knowledge of data structures, database design, and information management principles.
  • Exposure to scripting or programming languages (such as Python, JavaScript, or .NET) is beneficial.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and operational teams at multiple organizational levels.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Understanding of ETL processes and data integration best practices., * Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • At least six (6) years of experience working with enterprise asset management or maintenance management platforms.
  • Prior experience supporting or working within a specific enterprise asset system platform is preferred.
  • Experience working with enterprise databases and tools used for querying and managing structured data.
  • Background in data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development using BI tools.
