Job description
We are seeking a Network Engineer to join our Laketec360 managed services support team. In this role, you will support and maintain network infrastructure for customers primarily in education, healthcare, and mid-sized enterprise environments. You will also take a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement, making thoughtful recommendations that enhance performance, reliability, and overall network optimization., * Manage and maintain HPE Aruba, Cisco, and Cisco Meraki network environments across multiple customer organizations.
- Use monitoring and management tools, including Auvik, to proactively support network performance, availability, and visibility.
- Take a proactive, forward-thinking approach to reviewing customer infrastructure.
- Build strong relationships with customers' internal IT and engineering teams while delivering responsive, high-quality technical support.
- Partner with Laketec's project engineering team on escalations and provide occasional assistance with implementations and deployments.
- Continue developing technical expertise through Laketec-provided training, lab time, and certification opportunities.

If so, you'll thrive at Laketec., * 3+ years of proven experience in a network engineering or network support role.
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting experience with Aruba and/or Cisco networking technologies, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Solid understanding of network security, VLANs, VPNs, and routing protocols.
- Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to work effectively with both customers and internal teams.
- Ability to work effectively in remote, on-site, and in-office collaborative environments.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP, PCNSE, ACA-CA, ACX/ABS-CX, or similar are a strong plus.
- Experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls and security products is a plus.
- Participation in the team's on-call rotation.
