Job description
We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Information Technology Manager to lead our Analyst and Helpdesk teams while supporting the broader IT organization. This role requires a strong technical foundation, proven leadership experience, and the ability to coordinate effectively across systems, network, and application teams. The ideal candidate thrives in a healthcare environment and is committed to delivering high-quality IT services that support clinical and operational excellence., * Lead, supervise, and develop the Analyst and Helpdesk teams to meet service-level commitments, project deadlines, and organizational objectives
- Manage IT staff through recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance evaluation
- Establish clear job expectations, accountability standards, and professional development pathways
- Determine workload distribution, staff scheduling, and on-call/after-hours rotations
- Coordinate cross-functional systems and network resources for IT-driven projects
- Provide after-hours, holiday, and weekend support coverage and on-call leadership as needed
- Lead or contribute to special projects assigned by IT leadership
- Perform additional duties as assigned in support of the IT Director and overall IT organization
Requirements
Do you have experience in Staff supervision?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Experience with Meditech Expanse or Athena Health Systems preferred
- Working knowledge of network, server, and systems concepts to collaborate effectively with infrastructure teams
- Strong understanding of HIPAA, change management, and IT general controls
- Ability to oversee helpdesk/service desk operations and ITSM processes
- Familiarity with HL7 messaging and interface translation preferred
- Experience supporting ancillary services and core hospital functions
- Proficiency with report writing, SQL query structures, and report distribution
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, * Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ten or more years of relevant IT experience
- Seven or more years of progressive experience in healthcare, IT, or similar environments
- Three or more years of leadership or supervisory experience over technical staff
- Experience supporting hospital operations and ancillary clinical services
- Experience overseeing helpdesk/service desk operations and ITSM workflows
Certifications, Licenses & Registrations
- Technical or system certifications relevant to Microsoft, Cisco, or VMware environments are a plus
