Job description

The IT Systems Engineer II is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting the organization's IT infrastructure and enterprise systems. This role requires a skilled technical professional with hands-on experience in systems administration, network support, cloud technologies, cybersecurity best practices, and troubleshooting complex technical issues. The ideal candidate is proactive, collaborative, and capable of supporting both day-to-day operations and strategic IT initiatives., * Administer and maintain SCCM/MECM, including deployments, imaging, patch management, and compliance baselines.

  • Support enterprise infrastructure including servers, storage, virtualization, and networking systems
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and security to ensure optimal operation
  • Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, Office 365, and related technologies.
  • Support cloud infrastructure and services such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Microsoft 365
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and systems-related issues
  • Implement system upgrades, patches, backups, and disaster recovery procedures
  • Maintain endpoint management platforms and support device deployment initiatives
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement security controls and ensure compliance with company policies
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, system diagrams, and operational procedures
  • Participate in IT projects including infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and technology rollouts
  • Provide Tier II/III technical support and mentor junior IT staff as needed
  • Support after-hours maintenance and participate in on-call rotation when required

Requirements

Do you have experience in VLAN?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in systems engineering, systems administration, or related IT infrastructure roles

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting enterprise server and network environments
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Various server environments
  • Active Directory and Microsoft 365
  • Virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.)
  • Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls)
  • Backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • Experience with cloud platforms
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience supporting 200+ devices in a corporate environment.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, MD-100/101, Microsoft MDAA, or Cisco CCNA.
  • Prior experience with enterprise ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow).
  • Onsite support role with occasional remote troubleshooting.
  • May require lifting, up to 25 lbs. of IT equipment.
  • Regular business hours with after-hours support as needed during major deployments or issues.
