Job description
- Undertakes and completes simple or basic project/product development tasks to include any of the following: writing and verifying specifications, maintaining product/process documentation, testing processes, equipment, raw materials, and product development, and/or validation of equipment and processes.
- May assist in innovating and creating concepts for new products, processes, and test methods.
- Preparation of standard reports/documentation to communicate results to a technical community.
- Identifies areas for improvement, suggests solutions, and submits ideas.
- Works closely with technical, business, engineering, and manufacturing personnel.
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed and directed by the manager.
- May, on occasion, be required to perform duties other than those specified in this description., * Must wear proper personal protection equipment while on the manufacturing floor.
- Travel to manufacturing facilities or customer locations when required.
- Equipment used requires proper training on the potential for and avoidance of injury
Requirements
Cooper Standard is looking to partner with students seeking various engineering degrees. Candidates should possess technical competence, a solid work ethic, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Students will participate in our rotational program, which includes exposure to sealing, fuel/brake lines, fluid transfer hoses, and "hands-on" experience in labs and other facilities., * High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical Engineering with an overall grade point average of 2.8 or better
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong written, verbal, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Must be detail-orientated and possess excellent follow-up skills.
- Works well in a team environment.
- Ability to gather and analyze data to identify and solve problems.
- Must display maturity and a high level of professionalism.
