Job description

The IT Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of KANA's Information Technology department, ensuring the effective delivery of technology services across all locations. This role provides leadership for IT support operations, endpoint management, technology deployments, and service delivery while helping maintain secure, reliable, and efficient technology systems that support patient care and organizational operations. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with exceptional leadership, customer service, and operational management skills.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage day-to-day IT operations across Kodiak, Anchorage, and remote village locations Oversee Help Desk and Service Desk operations, ensuring timely and effective support for staff and providers Manage IT support staff, including hiring, training, coaching, performance management, and professional development Administer and support enterprise systems, Microsoft 365 services, endpoint management platforms, and workplace technologies Oversee conference room technology, audiovisual equipment, and collaboration tools across the organization Manage the full lifecycle of IT assets, including procurement, deployment, inventory management, and disposal Coordinate employee onboarding, workstation setup, office moves, and technology provisioning Monitor service performance, identify operational improvements, and track key IT metrics Lead incident response efforts, service restoration activities, and root cause analysis for major issues Support cybersecurity initiatives, endpoint compliance, access management, and operational security requirements Maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and operational reporting Collaborate with vendors, business partners, and internal stakeholders to support organizational technology needs

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field required; equivalent combination of education and experience considered Five years or more of progressively responsible IT experience, including infrastructure, support operations, or systems administration Minimum two years of leadership, supervisory, or team management experience Strong technical background in IT infrastructure, servers, networks, endpoint management, and enterprise technology systems Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments and modern workplace technologies preferred Knowledge of IT service management principles and ITIL best practices preferred Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required
