Job description
- Report Development: Write, debug, and optimize complex Geneva RSL scripts to generate P&L, Trial Balances, and regulatory reports.
- Data Extraction: Build custom extractors to feed Geneva portfolio data into downstream systems and data warehouses.
- System Automation: Use Unix/Linux shell scripting, Geneva Loaders, and AGA to automate routine backend jobs and batch processes.
- Migration: Migrate legacy RSL reports to RDL (Report Definition Language) or other modern reporting platforms.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with fund accountants to gather reporting requirements, validate financial data, and support month-end closures.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, data discrepancies, and system integration errors.
Requirements
- Experience: 3-7 years of experience utilizing Advent Geneva (version 15.0 or higher) in fund accounting or financial services.
- Scripting Skills: Advanced proficiency in RSL (Report Scripting Language).
- Database Knowledge: Strong command of SQL (T-SQL or PL/SQL) for data validation and reconciliation.
- Technical Add-ons: Familiarity with SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services), Unix/Linux environments, and automation tools.
- Domain Expertise: Solid understanding of financial instruments (equities, fixed income, derivatives), fund accounting principles, and investment operations
