Job description
CACI helps the Air Force Research Laboratory explore, prototype, and demonstrate new technologies, enabling the Air Force to maintain its technological advantage. We are seeking an on-site Full Stack Web Application Engineer to help us research and develop web applications for air operations planning and management. You will be working closely with our customers to design, implement, test and deploy frontend and backend software for complex interactive web applications., * Collaborate on program design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation.
- Work in a team setting in a research environment
- Maintain good working relationships with customers and other contractors, under the guidance of technical and project managers
- Communicate and collaborate proactively with coworkers
- Keep abreast of multiple concurrent projects
- Support design of client and server-side software architectures
- Develop and manage backend databases
- Write automated tests and user interface tests to support automated application testing
- Build frontend features according to the principles of progressive enhancement and responsive design
- Utilize HTML / CSS / JavaScript programming skills to solving complex data management problems
- Write technical documentation
- Technologies you will use include:
- HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Server-side programming environments, particularly Java or Node.js and frameworks like Express
- Automated testing tools like Mocha, Ava, JUnit, Selenium, or others
- Databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, etc
- SCM and issue tracking tools like Git, GitLab, Jira, etc
Requirements
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, software engineering, video game development, or closely related field
- Three or more years of professional experience as a software developer
- 2 or more years of Full-stack experience, which includes experience with two or more of the following: Java, JavaScript, Node.js, HTML / CSS
- Experience with database development
- Familiarity with DevOps / DevSecOps / Virtualization, including containerization and Linux technologies
- Will work full-time on-site at facilities in Rome, NY
- Willing and able to obtain a TOP SECRET clearance
- Willing to obtain a cybersecurity certification, such as Security+, or higher within 6 months
Desired:
- Experience working for or with the Military, Federal Government, or Federal Contractors
- Experience with modern web front-end development
- DevOps engineering experience, including technologies such as containerization, Linux, Kubernetes, Gitlab, and TLS/certificate management
- Deployment engineering experience, including VM management, Kubernetes deployments, non-networked environments, and custom PKI solutions
- Familiarity with military C2 systems and concepts
- Current and active security clearance
- Possess a cybersecurity certification such as Security+ Strong verbal/written communication skills and ability to work in a team environment and interface with customers
- Ability to take initiative, work well independently as well as in a team environment

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$65,700 - $134,400
