Job description

The IT Infrastructure Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's enterprise IT infrastructure, including Windows environments, Microsoft 365, Intune, networking, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems. This role ensures the availability, security, scalability, and performance of IT services while leading infrastructure operations, endpoint management, IT security initiatives, and technology projects., Infrastructure & Operations

  • Manage IT infrastructure including Windows/Linux servers, storage, virtualization platforms, cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP), networking, and backup systems.
  • Administer and maintain Microsoft Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, and identity management services.
  • Manage and support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and related collaboration tools.
  • Oversee Microsoft Intune for endpoint provisioning, device compliance, application deployment, mobile device management (MDM), and endpoint lifecycle management.
  • Develop and maintain endpoint management standards for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and remote workforce environments.
  • Ensure patch management, operating system updates, software deployment, and endpoint compliance across the organization.
  • Ensure high availability, reliability, security, and performance of IT infrastructure and enterprise systems.
  • Monitor infrastructure performance, capacity, and utilization, recommending improvements and upgrades as needed.
  • Lead day-to-day IT infrastructure operations, support activities, and service delivery functions.
  • Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for critical infrastructure services.

Network & Security

  • Oversee LAN/WAN, VPN, firewall, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, and network performance across enterprise environments.
  • Implement cybersecurity best practices, endpoint security controls, vulnerability management, and access governance.
  • Manage and enforce security policies through Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Defender, identity management platforms, and related security tools.
  • Ensure timely remediation of vulnerabilities, operating system patches, and security updates.
  • Support security audits, compliance initiatives, risk assessments, and incident response activities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to strengthen organizational security posture.
  • Monitor security threats and implement preventive and corrective measures to mitigate risks.
  • Maintain backup, disaster recovery, and data protection strategies.

Project & Vendor Management

  • Plan, manage, and execute infrastructure projects including cloud migrations, Microsoft 365 implementations, Intune deployments, system upgrades, and network modernization initiatives.
  • Lead cross-functional IT projects by managing timelines, resources, budgets, risks, and stakeholder communications.
  • Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and infrastructure solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Assist with IT budgeting, procurement, licensing management, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Manage vendor relationships, service contracts, and third-party support engagements.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop infrastructure engineers, system administrators, and support personnel.
  • Establish performance expectations and monitor team effectiveness.
  • Support employee development through coaching, training, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide technical guidance and escalation support for complex infrastructure and security issues.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise across infrastructure and Microsoft technologies, proven leadership capabilities, project management experience, and a solid understanding of enterprise security best practices., * Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, and operations management.
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership, supervisory, or managerial role.
  • Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Intune environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration, Active Directory, Group Policy, Azure AD (Microsoft Entra ID), and endpoint management.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise networking technologies, security architecture, and infrastructure operations.
  • Experience managing cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience leading enterprise technology implementation and infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with ITSM platforms, monitoring tools, and service management processes.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft security, compliance, and endpoint protection solutions is highly preferred.
