The mission of the software team in Fort Wayne, IN is to provide world-class software for our customers. We are looking to add software engineers to our development team for a wide array of products including Battle Management, Command & Control, Communications, Effectors, Advanced Sensor Systems, and Surveillance and Warning systems.

What You Will Do:
- Participate in collaborative, cross-discipline integrated product teams, employ agile software development techniques and resources to develop, test, and integrate complex software and systems solutions for aerospace and defense applications
- Work collaboratively with Systems and Integration Test Engineers to analyze, implement and test system
Requirements
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance, * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or similar degree
- Minimum of two (2) or more years of professional experience in software development, integration, and/or test using C++, Java, Ada or similar object-oriented software language
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance required, note only U.S. Citizen can obtain security clearance, * Desire and ability to learn new technologies and tools
- Proven self-motivated problem solver who can look at a situation, identify gaps or issues, and take initiative to resolve them (technically, with process, and with documentation)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements
- Experience contributing in a team environment for the purpose of developing creative solutions to difficult technical problems
- Experience developing software using Agile techniques such as Scrum, Scrum @ Scale, SAFe or Test-Driven Development
- Experience with integrated development tools such as Azure, Git, Atlassian Suite, Eclipse, and Ansible
- Experience working in a continuous integration/continuous development (CI/CD) pipeline such as Gitlab, Jenkins, or GitHub
- Experience with Linux, VxWorks, INTEGRITY, or other RTOS
- Experience leveraging Generative AI and Machine Learning to improve productivity, collaboration, and performance
- Knowledge of Red Hat and/or Linux Operating Systems
- Exposure to Open Systems Architectures and modular design principles
Benefits & conditions
The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
