Job description
DevOps Engineer II - AWS Platform will be responsible for building, automating, and supporting cloud operations and cloud security in an AWS environment. The role focuses on improving system reliability, availability, scalability, and security through Infrastructure as Code, automation, and operational excellence. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure stable production systems and rapid incident resolution while following DevOps best practices., * Develop and maintain automation solutions using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Python)
- Manage AWS cloud infrastructure including EC2, S3, RDS, Redshift, Lambda, VPC, and CloudWatch
- Support cloud security, operations, and system reliability in high-scale environments
- Monitor systems using CloudWatch, alerts, and logging tools to ensure uptime and stability
- Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents and system issues efficiently
- Implement and improve incident, problem, and change management processes
- Reduce incident resolution time by applying best practices and automation
- Collaborate with consulting teams and stakeholders to deliver reliable cloud solutions
- Identify risks, dependencies, and propose mitigation strategies
- Develop and maintain engineering plans, documentation, and operational schedules
- Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and operational standards
- Facilitate strong communication across technical and business teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure / DevOps engineering
- Strong experience managing AWS cloud environments
- Experience in incident, problem, and change management processes
- Background in cloud security and infrastructure architecture
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Technical Skills:
- AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Redshift, Lambda, VPC, CloudWatch, Systems Manager)
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation
- Configuration management: Ansible / Ansible Tower
- Scripting: Python
- Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes
- Networking & Security: VPC, NACLs, Security Groups
- Monitoring & logging: CloudWatch, alerts, dashboards
- DevOps & automation tools
Preferred Skills:
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer)
- Experience with Kafka, OpenStack, or messaging systems (e.g., VerneMQ)
- Exposure to Java or Ruby on Rails environments
- Experience in fast-paced production support environments
