Job description

Woolpert is hiring a Systems Support Lead to join our dynamic Woolpert Teamat our Gulfport, MS office. This positionis responsible for Developing, executing , and continuously improving preventative maintenance plans, schedules, and procedures for missioncritical systems and subsystems.

We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead system sustainment and maintenance activities for assigned platforms, driving maximum operational readiness, availability, and reliability.
  • Develop, execute, and continuously improve preventative maintenance plans, schedules, and procedures for missioncritical systems and subsystems.
  • Support readiness planning and execution for field deployments and flight operations, ensuring systems are properly configured, calibrated, and tested.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and systemlevel issues, performing hands-on diagnostics, directing corrective actions, and documenting root cause analysis.
  • Maintain accurate configuration and service records within asset management databases to ensure traceability and compliance.
  • Coordinate system aircraft integration and installation, supporting local flight operations, testing, and calibration.
  • Contribute and maintain system technical documentation, including maintenance manuals, troubleshooting guides, and operational checklists., * Freedom to Work program: Set your own schedule and location (as appropriate).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Physics, or a related technical field; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
  • 2-7 years of experience supporting, maintaining, or sustaining complex technical systems in operational, fielded, or mission-critical environments.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or coordinating maintenance or technical support activities.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and integrated system-level issues.
  • Ability to perform structured root cause analysis and document findings and corrective actions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document technical issues and brief stakeholders.
  • Willingness and ability to support field deployments, test events, or flight/operational activities as required.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively across engineering, operations, and logistics teams.
  • Experience supporting aerospace, defense, robotics, autonomous systems, sensors, or similar high-reliability systems preferred.
  • Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance planning methodologiespreferred.
  • Knowledge of configuration management processes and toolspreferred.
  • Experience supporting system integration, verification, and acceptance testingpreferred
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, deployment-oriented or test-driven environmentspreferred.
  • Experience coordinating with vendors and suppliers on technical issues, maintenance activities, and system supportpreferred.

Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay Range $75,400 - $94,300 USD
