Job description
- Infrastructure: Virtualised server estate in Azure, managed by an MSP
- Network: Fully managed by MSP
- Cloud: Fully Azure-based environment
- Cyber Security: Cyber Essentials & Cyber Essentials Plus accredited, with continuous MSP monitoring
- Finance Systems: Currently under tender for replacement
- Data & Reporting: Limited reporting currently; opportunity to introduce tools such as Power BI
This role offers strong scope to modernise systems and improve reporting capability.
The Role
Reporting into senior leadership, you will own the technology roadmap and service delivery., Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and deliver IT strategy aligned to business goals
- Identify improvements across systems, reporting, and processes
- Lead internal stakeholders and super users
Service Delivery
- Oversee IT operations alongside MSP
- Manage incidents, escalation, and service performance
- Ensure consistent, high-quality user experience
Supplier & Budget Management
- Manage MSP and vendors, ensuring SLA delivery
- Own IT budget, cost control, and supplier performance
Projects & Transformation
- Lead IT projects and system upgrades
- Support finance system replacement programme
- Drive enhanced reporting and data capability
Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Maintain Cyber Essentials+ standards
- Own policies, risk mitigation, and disaster recovery planning
Requirements
A hands-on IT leader comfortable operating at both strategic and technical levels., * IT leadership (IT Manager level+)
- Professional services experience preferred
- Strong MSP and supplier management
- Delivery of complex IT projects and change
Technical Skills
- Microsoft 365 & Azure environments
- Cloud infrastructure & service delivery models
- ITIL / Cyber Essentials frameworks
- Interest in data/reporting tools (e.g. Power BI)
Personal Skills
