Job description

In this role you will be i responsible for supporting on Product Configuration Management (PCM) and Product Change Management (PChM) activities across product and programme teams, ensuring effective configuration control, governance and data integrity throughout the product lifecycle. The postholder will provide functional mentorship and specialist experience to ensure configuration items, business processes and change control from initiation through approval and implementation, supporting programme and customer requirements. Your role ensures the consistent application of configuration and change processes, alignment with customer data expectations, timely impact assessment of change requests, and the continuous improvement of configuration management practices through to in-service transition.

Core Duties:

  • Lead on the Implementation of the product change management (PChM) system from change initiation to sentencing to achieve configuration control requirements, presenting at weekly product change board as required.
  • Lead in the analysis of local business processes, ensuring the overall configuration of product information is always maintained within the team.
  • The creation and management of Product Configuration & Change processes, ensuring these are maintained and updated on an annual basis or as required by the senior management team.
  • To continually manage and govern Configuration Items to improve the quality and configuration control of the Product Data

Requirements

Do you have experience in Systems engineering?, * Comprehensive knowledge of Configuration and Change Management, LCM, Engineering Processes, Document controls and Bill of Materiel management.

  • Strong understanding of key systems engineering principles and integrity of information.
  • Preferably degree qualified in a Systems Engineering related discipline or equivalent, or have substantial experience in Configuration, Change, Engineering Design, Bill of Material and document management, or Quality Assurance roles and delivery management.
