Job description

We are seeking an experienced Data Specialist to join a growing data and analytics team. This role will focus on designing, building, and optimising scalable data solutions that support advanced analytics initiatives across the organisation. Working closely with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders, you will develop robust data pipelines, manage cloud-based data environments, and help drive data-led decision-making. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong data professional who enjoys solving complex challenges and influencing the future direction of enterprise data capabilities.

Responsibilities of a Data Specialist:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable end-to-end data pipelines and data integration solutions.
  • Develop and manage cloud-based data environments with a strong focus on AWS technologies.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, data scientists, and technical teams to support advanced analytics projects.
  • Ensure data security, governance, compliance, and the ongoing optimisation of data infrastructure.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Scala?, * Proven experience in data engineering, data architecture, or a similar data-focused role, ideally within a large or regulated organisation.

  • Strong technical expertise in AWS, Python, Java or Scala, and modern database technologies including SQL, NoSQL, and distributed processing frameworks.
  • Experience working across the full data lifecycle, including data ingestion, transformation, modelling, and deployment.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams., We regret to inform you that at this time, we are unable to offer sponsorship for work authorisation for this role.
