Job description

As a Data Engineer you will be a key member of a specialist Data and Tech solutions team within the7stars.

You will be using cloud platforms (primarily Google Cloud Platform, but also AWS and Azure) to build databases, transform, model, and activate data from multiple sources including advertising platforms, analytics platforms, and client data. Your role in the team will be to deliver best-in-class data visualisation solutions that unite agency teams and engage marketing stakeholders. Experience with Looker preferable, or similar experience with other BI tools such as Tableau or PowerBI.

You will also be involved in future facing marketing transformation projects for the agency and our clients - integrating artificial intelligence and scaling efficient ways of uniting data to deliver market leading tech media planning and activation solutions. You will need to be familiar with how APIs are configured.

You will need to have strong experience with using Google BigQuery, and working with the wider Google Marketing Platform stack, including familiarity with Google Analytics data, and will have experience integrating other 3rd party technologies to enhance our advertisers' understanding of campaign and business performance.

Experience with integrating and onboarding data from Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Salesforce CRM is required. Any other experience with utilising data clean rooms and integrating 1st party audiences from clients to 3rd party solutions would also be beneficial.

This role will play a key part in enabling clients to fully lean in to utilising their data to its full potential, improving the effectiveness of their marketing goals, and helping them gain valuable, actionable insights about their audiences.

Your responsibilities

  • Managing data integrations with clients, between our own platforms and external 3rd party platforms, data partners and development partners.

  • Project management, co-ordinating various stakeholders to make sure the right access is setup, the data is validated and documenting the process and updates clearly and regularly.

  • Building/implementing and scaling solutions across clients, enabling data-driven activation and campaign activation.

  • Creating and maintaining ELT pipelines to ensure data freshness and accuracy, working with teams to resolve missing data points and build robust and trustworthy data sets.

Requirements

You will need

  • Experience in an engineering/developer role with an emphasis on media and marketing data solutions

  • Experience with Salesforce

  • Strong experience and understanding of marketing platforms, metrics and KPIs

  • Industry experience of SQL and python

  • A track record of implementing cloud-based data solutions

  • The ability to manage projects and processes independently

  • A good understanding of business and marketing performance metrics

  • A good understanding of the ad/mar-tech landscape

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Excellent attention to detail

Our working pattern is Monday-Thursday in our Covent Garden offices, followed by hybrid working on Friday.
