Job description

RUCKUS Networks leverages advanced technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to enhance network performance and reduce total cost of ownership.
The Systems Engineer works as a team, along with a Territory/Vertical Account Manager(s) and/or a Partner Account Manager to sell RUCKUS networking solutions through a network of channel partners.
How You'll Help Us Connect the World
In this role, you will focus on addressing both technical and business challenges by identifying and positioning the most suitable RUCKUS solutions to meet customer needs. You will take ownership of developing and executing territory account plans, leveraging your understanding of business economics, industry trends, and key vertical markets to drive strategic growth.
A key part of your responsibilities will involve engaging directly with partners and end customers through technical demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, enablement sessions, and workshops, ensuring they clearly understand the value of the solutions. You will also support the sales process by providing accurate kit lists and high-level solution designs, while acting as a trusted technical advisor who can effectively differentiate and position RUCKUS in a competitive landscape.
Working closely with Territory and Partner Account Managers, you will play an active role in driving revenue, supporting sales efforts, and contributing to the achievement of quota goals by aligning technical solutions with customer business objectives.
Requirements

5+ years of proven experience working with IP and Wireless technologies.

Proficient understanding of pre-sales engineering and sales processes.

Working knowledge of networking technical skills, specifically: 802.11 Wi-Fi technology evolution (Wi-Fi 5, 6, 7),RF antenna signal propagation behavior, best practice design and assessments, WLAN security, predictive heat map creation, Wireless troubleshooting and optimization, IP routing and switching (WAN/LAN design, setup, and configuration).

General knowledge of the following areas: Network security, VoIP, QoS (wired/wireless), BYOD/MDM, PtP and Mesh, Wireless Controller Architectures, Packet capture and analysis tools, WLAN security.

Advanced understanding of partner business drivers and how to map these to a customer network platform, including identifying areas for improvement in network design.

Practical experience in network design and implementation within the Manufacturing, Warehouse, and Logistics (MWL) sector.

Knowledge of networking requirements for handheld scanners, AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles), mobile robots, worker devices, AI CCTV, and VoIP/intercoms.

Proficient understanding of pre-sales engineering, technical sales processes, and key account management.

Experience with the MEDDIC sales methodology and process.

Ability to communicate technical solutions, both written and verbal, to a variety of audiences, including executive-level decision-makers.

Advanced understanding of partner business drivers and how to map these to a customer network environment, including identifying areas for improvement in network design.
This position is remote, but it is expected to involve UK and Ireland travel (particularly in the North of England) around 50% of the time.
